The Eyvanak project of Tejarat Bank is a commercial endeavor. Currently under construction in multiple phases, this project underscored the necessity of a Project Management Office (PMO) for creating and controlling the schedule—an impossibility without it. To maintain progress and manage resources effectively, the project was segmented into five divisions, each advancing according to the scheduled plan. As the person in charge of project control, my responsibilities encompassed conducting daily site inspections, compiling reports, presenting these to the client, and updating the project schedule. My role also extended to handling certain correspondences within the project’s technical office.
Moreover, I contributed to the Quality Control team, actively participating in concrete pouring processes, overseeing correct execution, performing concrete tests during pouring phases, and managing sampling and lab testing within the project’s dedicated laboratory. This project provided me with an invaluable chance to deepen my understanding of project scheduling and control. It enhanced my proficiency in software tools like Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. My daily presence on the project site enabled extensive interactions with various project departments, including HSE, implementation, consulting, the technical office, warehouse, client, and laboratory, offering me a wealth of technical knowledge on executing concrete projects. This experience not only enriched my civil engineering insights for my ongoing academic pursuits but also acquainted me with the profession’s challenges and solutions.
